I was shown a plot by Colonel Goyal near Chengalput. I went back to Sharjah after that and transferred the funds after a week. At the time of registration we found to our horror that my Power of Attorney to my father had a technical fault and was not accepted by the Registrar. We had already deposited the funds with Great India Realty. During our panic Mr. Goyal gave us solace and helped us with fixing the issue. He again went with us to the Registrar's office after 2 weeks to register the plot to our full satidfaction. Great India Realty sold us a 3 bedroom flat in Vandalur last year. Great India Realty sold us a flat that they had bought from a builder. Even though it was the builder's fault in the inordinate delay I was given fair market rental value from the day of buying the flat to the day we actually received possession. The builder also charged all the owners for an extra 50 sq ft  after the deal was signed but Colonel Goyal honoured his word and did not pass on the additional cost to us. Our neighbours in our new place are surprised.

I was unable to get a loan after signing the sale agreement. Colonel refunded my full deposit money without deducting any booking fees. He even drove me to Tambaram Railway Station afterwards. There is still decency left in India.

I just got laid off in early January 2009. I could not go through with the transaction. Great India refunded my full deposit money due to job loss without any administration fees, as is customary. When my situation gets better these are the people I will be going to.
